Bilateral Breast Augmentation
Enhancement of the female breast by placing of a saline-filled prosthesis into the breast mound to enlarge, and to a degree, lift the breast. An incision underneath the breast mound or around the areola is used to insert an implant (many sizes and shapes available) into a pocket made beneath either the chest muscle, or less commonly, under the breast gland itself. Typical recovery until back to work or normal social activities is approximately 3-7 days.
Breast Lift (Mastopexy)
Various techniques are available to reverse the typical age and pregnancy related changes of the female breast (drooping, loss of fullness) by removing redundant skin and elevating the breast gland to a higher, more youthful position. Well-concealed scars are left on the breast mound. This procedure can be performed in conjunction with breast augmentation to both lift and enhance the breast mounds. Typical recovery until back to work or normal social activities is approximately 7-10 days.
Used to remove “localized” collections of fat (most commonly hips, thighs, abdomen and underneath the chin) resulting in pleasing contour changes in these areas. This procedure relies on good overlying skin quality to essentially “shrink-wrap” once the underlying fat has been removed. This is a process that can take up to 2-3 months until the final results are seen and appreciated. Typical recovery time until back to work or normal social functions is 3-7 days depending on the location and volume of fat removed.
Tummy Tuck (Abdominoplasty)
Age and pregnancy related changes of the upper and lower abdomen (redundant overhanging skin, loss of abdominal muscle tone) can be corrected leaving scars well concealed beneath a typical underwear line. The procedure is often used in conjunction with liposuction of the flanks and hips to dramatically change the appearance of a patient’s abdomen. Typical recovery time until back to work or normal social functions is 10-14 days.
Age-related changes of the face and neck (jowl formation, fullness below chin, deepening of folds between nose and mouth) can be reversed by elevating the soft-tissues and skin through minimally visible incisions in front and behind the ears. Typical recovery time until back to work or normal social functions is approximately 10-14 days.
Age related changes of the soft tissues around the eyes (excessive/redundant skin, “bags”) can be easily corrected under local anaesthetic leaving scars which will be virtually invisible within 6-8 weeks. Typical recovery time until back to work or normal social functions is approximately 7-10 days.
Ear Correction (Otoplasty)
Prominent ear(s) can be corrected in an adult under local anaesthetic leaving an almost invisible scar behind the ear. Results are permanent and patients can expect to return to normal work and social functions within 2-3 days.
